The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2023 election, Dumebi Kachikwu, has opined that the opposition coalition, which adopted his party, is being packaged for former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.

Naijaonpoint reports that Kachikwu, while speaking on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, stated it is now clear to the Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, that the coalition is a movement for Atiku’s presidential ambition.

According to the ADC chieftain, individuals like Peter Obi and others aspiring to run for the presidency in 2027 are now looking in other directions because the coalition has deviated from its proposed plan.

Kachikwu further vowed to reclaim the ADC.

He said, “Like I’ve said, I warned, the whole ADC structure is being packaged for the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

“And I’m still warning people about what’s happening. We can see what’s happening within the coalition. Someone like Mr. Peter Obi now understands that whole coalition was packaged for Atiku.

“From our understanding, what we are seeing now is that he’s looking in other directions, you know, and other people who want to run, who are aspiring to run, now realize that the coalition was indeed no coalition.

“It was just a vehicle for ambition. But I still say this: the ADC will never be the vehicle for that ambition.”

Asked if he has the capacity to stop a storm that does not look like it’s going to be stopped, Kachikwu added, “The storm has already been contained.”
