Peter Obi Vs Okpebholo: ‘It Is Tragic That Hate Is Now APC Govt’s Policy’ – Atiku’s Aide

mazi paul ibe

The media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Paul Ibe, has stated that President Bola Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress (APC) government has resorted to hate as a policy.

Naijaonpoint reports that Ibe’s remark comes amid the public outcry following Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo’s warning to Labour Party (LP) 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, not to visit Edo State without informing him.

The warning, which was perceived as a threat, drew widespread condemnation from many Nigerians and political elites.

Okpebholo was accused of disregarding the constitution, which allows for freedom of movement.

But Okpebholo noted that his directive was only an advice and not a threat, recalling how he failed to adhere to such a directive by a Commissioner of Police during the administration of Governor Godwin Obaseki, which led to the death of his Police orderly, Inspector Akor Onu, at the Benin Airport.

However, in a post via 𝕏, Paul Ibe urged Nigerians to hold President Tinubu responsible for the fallout arising from the Edo State government’s promotion of hate.

He wrote: “Nigerians and the rest of the world should hold the Bola Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress administration responsible for any fallouts from this promotion of hate by the Governor of Edo State and a cabinet member of the Tinubu government.

“It is tragic that hate is now a policy of the APC and its shambolic government.”
