Dr. Minaibi Dagogo-Jack, Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria in Rivers State, has declared that high voter turnout is the strongest defense against election rigging. Speaking on Symfoni TV, he said, “If it had been easy for them to rig the Lagos State election, Peter Obi would not have won.”
Dagogo-Jack stressed that the 2023 presidential election results in Lagos disproved claims of inevitable rigging, highlighting the power of an engaged electorate. He criticized politicians who blame rigging instead of mobilizing voters and warned that voter apathy threatens Nigeria’s democracy.
