The Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Dr Adegboyega Oyetola, MD/CEO, National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, among other delegates attended the Third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) 2025, held in Nice, France.
The 2025 theme is ‘Accelerating Action and Mobilizing all Actors to Conserve and Sustainably use the Ocean.’
NIWA in a tweet said the conference aimed to push for urgent action in conserving and sustainably using oceans, seas, and marine resources to support sustainable development and further the implementation of SDG 14.
He added that, “As part of the high-level events leading up to the conference, the Minister, represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the Blue Economy & Finance Forum in Monaco, hosted by HSH Prince Albert II.”
