Phyna living her best dreams after dumping family name

Despite being in the news for stating that she has distanced herself from her family and that no relatives have reached out to her since her decision, reality TV star and actress Ijeoma Otabor, known as Phyna, insists that she is living her dream.

She said, “I have always wanted to be an actress, even when I was in school. If I heard about an audition in Zamfara State, I was ready to go there. It feels like a dream come true for me because I am now living my dreams.”

The winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7 remarked that her journey into Nollywood has been rapid. “My journey into Nollywood has been very fast. At one point, I used to count how many movies I had done in the past two years, but then I lost track. I have come so far, and I’m excited about what’s ahead. I can’t wait to reach 2025, start working on bigger screens, and achieve even more.”

When asked about her plans to transition into filmmaking, Phyna expressed her desire to explore this field later in her career. “Being a filmmaker is something I want to pursue down the line. I have already created two YouTube movies for myself, but I plan to focus on it more in my 30s. I’m still in my 20s and just getting started. I am fully committed to entertainment and ready for what it brings,” she said.
