Pixel Screenshots app becomes smarter thanks to a massive update

Google rolled out a massive update for the Pixel Screenshots application last month. The update offered several UI tweaks and improvements.. Now, the search giant has released the December Pixel Drop update. The new update brings several new features for the Pixel Screenshots app. In the new upgrade, Pixel Screenshots is getting a smart Gboard integration, auto-filters, and more.

Pixel Screenshots is getting several new features in the latest Pixel Drop update

As part of the massive Pixel Drop update, Pixel Screenshots is getting a smart Gboard integration feature. In Gboard, now you will see movies, music, products, and other text suggestions from your screenshots while searching in relevant apps. You will need to turn on the “Show suggestions from your screenshots in other apps” option in the Pixel Screenshots app. For example, if you capture a screenshot of a movie and open apps like IMDB or others, you will see suggestions.

Google Screenshots massive update features

Notably, when you’re using Circle to Search and find something you like, you can save it to Pixel Screenshots with a tap. This will allow you to always find it later easily. The grid on the Pixel Screenshots homepage received new density options last month. Now, the homepage now automatically categorizes your screenshots. This makes it easier to find exactly what you need with new search filters.

Other new features for Pixel Screenshots in the latest update

Apart from the aforementioned features, the latest update also brings a few more functionalities for the Pixel Screenshots app. Notably, the latest update now provides helpful suggested actions based on the information you saved. For example, when you find what you’re looking for, you will get suggestions like creating a calendar invite or getting directions.

Furthermore, the Pixel Screenshots app now also lets you add tickets or credit cards you’ve screenshot in Google Wallet. It now provides quick access to things like your driver’s license, boarding passes, and more in a single place. If you don’t have the Pixel Screenshots app on your phone, then you can download it from the Play Store.
