WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Plymouth Argyle head coach, Miron Muslic, has admitted his side will try to sign Nigerian striker, Muhamed Tijani, at the end of the season, Soccernet.ng reports. The 24-year-old joined the Pilgrims on loan from Czech side, Slavia Prague, but injuries have dented his season, as he’s played just 11 games, starting two. Tijani has played for Plymouth in their last three games, starting one and coming off the bench twice, scoring one goal against Sheffield United, who are third in the EFL Championship. While it appears there might be a slim chance Tijani’s side will gain promotion if they win their final two games, their chances are slim. Still, Muslic wants Tijani to lead the line against Preston this weekend as he gives his side an edge in attack. “We are going to have a big bear up front on Saturday, and let’s see how long Tijani can stay on the pitch. He looked pretty solid the last time, but I didn’t want to take the risk during the last 10, 15 minutes. He wanted to continue, but I just had these hamstring injuries in my head and I wanted to protect him.” “I’m used to having a target player. We can always play the ball forward, so we can push up, we can progress, and he can link up the play for us. “He can keep the ball for us so we can actually breathe a little bit, and we can get closer to the goal. I’m also used to having a finisher inside the box,” the Austrian manager said in quotes revealed by Plymouth Herald. Additonally, the former Cercle Brugge coach revealed his side are working on securing Tijani permanently from Slavia Prague. “We are doing our jobs in the background. I’m so happy for Tijani, he could finally show himself as a starter. He’s a threat inside the box, and if it’s too transitional, he cannot show his best qualities, but I think he did show his value the last time as a starter. There are clearly considerations to continue working with Tijani. Of course, 100 per cent, we want him to be here with us next season,” Muslic concluded.
