WATCH THE VIDEO HERE There was pandemonium on Friday,28th,February,2025 at Ogoloma street off Chinda in Mile 4,Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State as suspected cultists loyal to a Deywell cult leader in the area stabbed a man in his mid 20s, one Aleruchi Samuel aka Bigi to death . We gathered that the suspected cultists came to forcefully take ‘Bigi’ who was erecting a fence on a disputed land to their ‘barrack’ on complaints of a woman who is also laying claims to the land. Dependable sources disclosed that one of the suspected cultists stabbed ‘Bigi ‘ on the neck when he(Bigi) resisted attempts by the hoodlums to forcefully take him to their ‘barrack’ . The source stated that ‘Bigi’ was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead. We learnt that community youth sympathetic to ‘Bigi’ went on rampage on hearing news of his death and it took the intervention of the Police to bring the situation under control. Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command,Grace Iringe Koko,a Superintendent of Police,SP in an interview with the incident. She said “yes i can confirm the incident.It has to do with a disputed land where they are erecting fence.A woman went to call unknown persons who stabbed the man on his neck. “Two persons have been arrested.The Commissioner of Police CP Olugbenga Adepoju has ordered the transferred of the case to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department,SCIID,PortHarcourt for discreet investigation”.
