Pom Klementieff and Adam Copeland are the latest additions to The Beekeeper 2 cast. The 2024 Jason Statham action movie follows an ex-government operative who is drawn out of retirement after his neighbor is the victim of a scam, ultimately discovering a major conspiracy. The sequel recently began filming for an expected 2026 release date.
Joining Statham as returning cast members from the $162 million action hit are Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Bobby Naderi, and Jemma Redgrave. Yara Shahidi was previously announced as a new addition to the cast. Plot details for The Beekeeper 2 are currently unknown.
That includes details on Klementieff and Copeland’s casting, which comes via Variety. However, with Klementieff’s experience in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, and Copeland’s wrestling background and stint on the TV series Vikings, we’d have to think there’s a good chance they’ll be squaring off with Statham in the movie.
Timo Tjahjanto is directing The Beekeeper 2, taking over from David Ayer, who directed the first movie. The Beekeeper screenwriter, Kurt Wimmer, did return to write the sequel.
What This Means For The Beekeeper 2
The Beekeeper was a surprise hit in 2024. It released in early January, a when new movies can often be overlooked by the previous year’s awards contenders. However, it became one of Statham’s most successful movies of the last decade, quickly getting a greenlight for the sequel in February 2025.
Klementieff and Copeland join a solid cast that will try to lift The Beekeeper 2 over the box office of its predecessor. What could also help is a release date in a more prime part of the calendar. While an exact release date is unknown, a summer 2026 or fall 2026 release date is more likely, either is usually seen as a better time for box office performance.

Klementieff has a knack for stealing scenes, whether that’s as Mantis in the MCU or, with mostly just her intensity, as Paris in the most recent Mission: Impossible movies. Whether she is an ally or adversary in The Beekeeper 2, it will be fun to see her play off Statham.
Copeland, aka The Edge from his wrestling days, will present Statham with more of a physical obstacle. However, he’s shown he has some good acting chops, including earning a nomination from the Children’s and Family Emmys for his work on the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
