According to a report by TMZ Sports, emergency responders were called to his Clearwater, Florida, residence early Thursday following a distress call indicating cardiac arrest. Multiple police and EMT vehicles were seen at the property, and Hogan was transported to a nearby hospital on a stretcher.

Just weeks before his death, Hogan’s wife, Sky, had addressed rumors that he was in a coma, stating that the WWE star was recovering well from recent surgeries and that his heart was “strong.”

Born Terry Bollea, Hulk Hogan was one of the most influential figures in wrestling history. He played a major role in transforming professional wrestling into a global phenomenon in the 1980s, becoming a cultural icon with his charisma, signature mustache, and catchphrases.

In 1996, Hogan shocked fans by turning heel and creating the New World Order (NWO) faction under the name “Hollywood Hogan,” a move that revitalized his career and boosted wrestling’s popularity.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 but was removed in 2015 after a racially charged tape surfaced. Hogan later sued Gawker Media and won a landmark case. WWE reinstated him in 2020 with a second Hall of Fame induction, this time as a member of the NWO.

Outside the ring, Hogan made a name in Hollywood, debuting as Thunderlips in Rocky III (1982) and starring in family-friendly films like No Holds Barred, Suburban Commando, and Mr. Nanny. He also headlined the VH1 reality show Hogan Knows Best, which chronicled his family life.
