The United States of America has deported Simon Guobadia, the estranged husband of ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ star Porsha Williams, to Nigeria.
The businessman, who has lived in the US for over 40, was deported following his detention at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility.
The development comes amidst President Donald Trump’s order for massive deportations of illegal migrants, which he signed earlier this year.
US DailyMail confirmed on Tuesday that Guobadia was released from ICE custody and sent back to Nigeria.
According to that publication, Guobadia was arrested by officials of the ICE in February when he travelled to the US to attend a hearing related to his ongoing divorce from Williams
Guobadia, who immigrated from Nigeria to the US in 1982, allegedly overstayed his visa and was declared deportable in 1985.
He subsequently returned to the US in 1986 and again overstayed his visa.
Guobadia married his first wife, an American citizen named Karron English, in 1985 after his first deportation in 1982.
He then applied for “Adjustment of Status” in 1985 but was denied citizenship because the government believed the marriage to be a sham after his ex-wife told the Immigration and Naturalisation Service that they never lived together or consummated their marriage.
The 61-year-old Nigerian left the country voluntarily but re-entered the US in 1986 on another visitor’s visa.
However, he overstayed his six-month visa again.
Guobadia married Porsha in November 2022 after getting engaged in May 2021.
Before then, he married Falynn Pina, a former Real Housewives star.
In February, Porsha announced the end of her marriage to Guobadia and later filed for divorce
