Controversial social media activist, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has berated music executive, Soso Soberekon, for what he described as a disrespectful proposal regarding a ₦120 million boxing match between him and street-pop singer, Portable.

Naijaonpoint understands that Soberekon had earlier offered the sum for a celebrity boxing bout between the two online personalities amid their ongoing social media feud.

Reacting in a video posted via Instagram on Sunday evening, VeryDarkMan said the offer was an insult to his status and dismissed it as laughable.

“It is disrespectful to say you wan carry me go fight for as low as ₦100 million. Do you know how much I don take do charity this period?

“What is ₦100 million? If you want to insult me, just tell me waka,” he said.

VeryDarkman added, “₦100 million cannot even buy you a good house in Abuja. Soso, you are very, very disrespectful. Forget about age. If you want me to fight, you go bring $500,000 first before I can sit down to discuss the balance, but I doubt if you get that kind money.”

VeryDarkMan went further to recount how he previously rejected a $100,000 offer to fight American rapper, 50 Cent, claiming the match would have been one of the biggest events in Africa.

“Last year, I was supposed to have the biggest event in Africa, a fight between me and 50 Cent. You can confirm it from the President of the Boxing Federation, Omo-Agege. Tunde Ednut was also following up the process. But it didn’t work out,” he explained.

“50 Cent asked for $2 million upfront out of his $5 million total, and they came to offer me $100,000. I said no. I told them if 50 Cent is getting $5 million, then I must get $1 million. That’s my worth,” VeryDarkMan added.

He warned Soberekon to stop using his name for publicity unless he was ready to bring real money to the table.

“If dem dey respect you, respect yourself, Soso. If you don’t have that money I talk, please don’t put my name on your page again,” the activist warned.

VeryDarkMan also revealed that he had turned down another fight offer earlier this year after returning from China, citing unreasonable financial terms.

He said, “Early this year again after I came back from China, they brought another offer but the money wey them still they talk no dey reasonable. So, you see where the level dey? It didn’t work because I’m not going to take one kind low thing to go and be on the ring, I know my worth.”

“N100 million cannot even buy you a good house in Abuja. Soso you are very very disrespectful, forget about age. So, if you want me to fight, you go bring 500,000 dollar first before I can sit together with you to discuss the balance, but I doubt if you get that kind of money. If dem dey respect you respect yourself Soso. If you don’t have that money I talk please don’t put my name on your page again,” the activist added.
