After his recent release from detention, street hop star Portable is back to making music that reflects his reality. He has teased a new song just days after being released following his arrest due to a criminal defamation petition filed by Fuji icon King Saheed Osupa.
In a post on his Instagram page, Portable shared a glimpse of the song titled “Oni Reason,” in which he references his recent legal troubles in Kwara State and claims that the journey of his life is divinely orchestrated. This new track continues his trend of creating music based on his legal experiences.
After being declared wanted by the Ogun State Police for allegedly assaulting government officials, Portable announced an EP titled “Most Wanted.” In a similar situation in 2024, he released the “Chosen EP” during the viral “I Am A Chosen” trend on social media. Furthermore, shortly after being recorded scaling a fence to evade arrest for a debt related to his G Wagon Brabus, he released the track “Spiderman.”
Portable’s biggest single since “Zazzu Zeh” came from his collaboration with British-Nigerian rapper Skepta on the hit song “Tony Montana.” He marked his time in London with the EP “Tony Montana of London” and later released “Canadian Burger” after touring Canada in 2025.
With his upcoming single, Portable aims to transform another viral moment into music, a strategy he has used to maintain his relevance as an entertainer.
