Portable’s wife, Bewaji, expresses gratitude to her Maker following his release from prison

Bewaji, the wife of controversial Nigerian singer Portable, is in a grateful mood following the release of her husband and father of her kids.

Kemi Filani reported on Monday that the Kwara State police had arrested Portable over alleged criminal defamation against Fuji singer Saheed Osupa. He was accused of threat to life, incitement, character assassination, criminal defamation and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace and the use of abusive and insulting words.

The singer was remanded in a correctional facility after failing to meet bail conditions of N1 million and two sureties, one of whom must be the Chairman of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN).

On Tuesday, Saheed Osupa had a change of heart as he withdrew his case against Portable. In a press statement, he clarified the reason for arresting the singer and revealed that he listened to heartfelt pleas from several prominent Nigerians whose names he mentioned. However, Saheed’s team gave Portable 3 conditions for his withdrawal.

Taking to her Instagram page, she reposted the press release from Saheed Osupa’s team as she took to her Instagram story to express gratitude to her Maker.

“Alhamdulilahi”, she wrote.

Portable is currently married to Bewaji, who has two kids with him. The singer also has four kids with three women. His first baby mama is unknown; his second is Keji, and his third is actress Ashabi, who has two kids for him.

In February, the street singer explained why he took only Bewaji on a trip with him to London. He had even slammed Ashabi, over her reaction to his trip with Bewaji and had accused her of constantly competing with his wife, who he described as peaceful.

Not done, Portable, in an Instagram video, stated that whenever he sees a woman he likes, he ties her down spiritually, and when he doesn’t like her again, he releases her.
