Nollywood actress and box office Queen Funke Akindele has won the praises of many with her generous acts.
The filmmaker, who has been rigorously promoting her movie Everybody Loves Jenifa, which is set to be in Cinemas in December, took content creation to the next level as she reached out to some Lagosians. In a video posted on her Instagram page, the mother of twins had given out food items to Lagosians in some communities like Shomolu, Yaba, and Mushin.
She revealed that through her movie, she is sewing kindness in different local government areas in Lagos State.
“Jenifa‘s joy is contagious! Sharing food, laughter, and love with our community. Sewing seeds of kindness in different local govt areas in Lagos state. First stops are (Shomolu, Yaba, Mushin)”.
Taking to her comment section, her colleagues and fans rained prayers on her.

Funke’s sweet gesture isn’t surprising as the actress has made headlines over the years for helping others.
In June, Funke Akindele had spent over two million naira on Celestial Churches in Nigeria. The actress made this move to celebrate the church’s month of children’s harvest. Funke shared her desire to touch over 20 churches with the sum of one hundred thousand naira each, on her Instagram page.
In April, Funke offered to cover the expenses of a Tiktoker who justified why school isn’t important. Joining her TikTok live video, Funke persuaded her to return to school and went as far as offering to send her to school and cover her educational expenses.
Also, during Funke’s scandal with late colleague Jumoke Aderounmu’s brother, who accused her of abandoning his sister, many of her colleagues testified to Funke’s generous deeds.
Bimbo Akisanya recalled how 10 years ago, the late Folake Oshadare, one of Nollywood’s make-up artists had revealed to her how Funke was sending monthly money for her medication as she was a cancer patient.
Her protege, Juliana Olayode had showered encomium on Funke as she recalled how the movie star emptied her account to save her mother’s life as she was battling Fibroid.
Actor Alesh Sanni recalled how years ago when he posted someone who needed a huge amount for medical bills, she reached out and sent the money and told him not to post it. He noted how it wasn’t once or twice, Funke had done this.
