Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Predator Kills The Marvel Universe #4
One of Marvel’s newest and most brutal crossovers has just revealed the ultimate weapon capable of killing Thor. Taking place in an alternate version of the Marvel Universe, a large invasion force of Predators has arrived to make Earth their ultimate hunting ground. This includes the God of Thunder himself, whom the Yautja view as one of Earth’s greatest trophies.
As seen in Marvel Comics’ new Predator Kills The Marvel Universe #4 from Benjamin Percy and Marcelo Ferreira, the Yautja are continuing their systematic hunt of every major Marvel hero and villain, beginning with its heaviest hitters and most formidable threats. Previous issues have seen the likes of Reed Richards, Magneto, and Hulk each meet their end at the hands of the Yautja.
In that same vein, this newly released issue opens with the tragic demise of Thor via a savagely unique weapon in Predator Kills The Marvel Universe #4.
The Predators Are More Than Prepared For Marvel’s Heroes (Including Thor Himself)
For all of his power as the God of Thunder, not even Thor Odinson was able to withstand the lethal skills and weapons of the Yautja. After all, they didn’t come to Earth with the intent of turning it into their new hunting ground by just going in blind regarding their superpowered prey.
Instead, the Yautja allied themselves with Kraven the Hunter. Taken to the Predators’ homeworld of Yautja Prime, Kraven has since learned their ways and become a lower member of their warrior clan. In return, the classic Spider-Man villain provided the Yautja with a detailed kill list of all the most important heroes and villains to hunt first…as well as their weaknesses.
With Kraven and the Yautja having forged several unique weapons tailor-made for various Marvel heroes and villains, this new issue reveals how the Predators were successfully able to bring down the Son of Odin himself.
Thor Was No Match For The Predator’s Brand-New Vibranium Weapon
As seen in Predator Kills The Marvel Universe #4, the issue opens with numerous Marvel icons already deceased, including Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Psylocke, Elektra, Kingpin, and more. As the invasion continues across the globe, the issue confirms that news of the brutal assault has reached the ears of heroes who reside beyond Earth, heroes like Thor.
Landing in New York and prepared to face whatever threats to save the world, Thor shockingly lasts only a few brief moments before he’s shot with a vibranium bullet fired by a Predator (wearing Punisher’s bulletproof vest)
who was waiting specifically for the God of Thunder.
The bullet penetrates both Thor’s armor and skin, though the issue confirms it’s not the bullet that’s lethal to the Asgardian, but the “gravity well sleeved inside the munition”, a device which sends Thor plummeting through the Earth’s crust before drowning in molten magma, leaving nothing but his hammer as a potential trophy for the victorious Yautja.
Although there are still some survivors (Spider-Man, Wolverine, Black Panther, Sue Storm), the fact that it only took mere moments for the Yautja to kill Thor with such a brutally unique weapon is not a very good sign for the future of this Marvel Universe and its remaining heroes.

Predator is an action sci-fi franchise created by Jim and John Thomas, beginning with the original film released in 1987. The franchise follows a warrior alien race known as the Yautja who travel the far reaches of space looking for worthy prey to hunt, constantly bringing them to Earth due to the sheer amount of conflict harbored on it. The series has spun off into comic books and animated features and has even enjoyed several crossover events via film and video games with the Aliens franchise.
