I mean, why not? He is, and has always been, good enough for English football; it’s long overdue. And, for me, if he were to go, it would be the highlight of his career, because it’s the best and most competitive league in the world.” Moses Simon pic.twitter.com/cgY1uEitpv — Ligue 1 McDonald’s (@Ligue1) April 8, 2025 Yobo reserved special praise for Everton as a potential landing spot for the winger. “If the reports of Everton’s interest are true, and above all, serious, then it would be even better. I played on Merseyside for almost a decade, and I know the football culture there; it’s enormous. This would be an ideal transfer for him, as his impact and speed are well-suited to Everton.”
Simon, 29, has been one of Nantes’ standout performers this season, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists in 31 appearances across Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France.
Simon, whose current market value is estimated at €12 million, has made 199 appearances for Nantes since joining in 2020, registering 36 goals and 39 assists. He also boasts 77 caps for Nigeria with nine goals and 13 assists, making him one of the national team’s most experienced stars.
