English Premier League club Sunderland are keeping tabs on Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru ahead of a possible transfer in January, Soccernet.ng reports.
Dele-Bashiru has had a topsy-turvy stay at Lazio since joining the club from Hatayspor for €3.43 million last year.
So far, he has featured in 33 games, registering five goals and three assists. He began this season as a regular starter, playing as a central midfielder under coach Maurizio Sarri.

Unfortunately for him, he suffered a hamstring injury in September and has been sidelined since then. However, his future at the club has been in question all the while.
Last summer, there was speculation that he would leave Lazio, but he ultimately remained. This season, the talks have continued, especially following his injury.
Sunderland Eyeing Dele-Bashiru
According to Lazio News 24, Dele-Bashiru has emerged as a potential target for Sunderland.
The Black Cats were just promoted to the English Premier League this season, and they have had a fine start to the campaign, amassing 19 points from 12 games.
They had quite a spending spree in the summer transfer window, signing players for various areas of the pitch.
They also brought in some players with Premier League experience, such as former West Ham man Arthur Masuaku and ex-Arsenal man Granit Xhaka, who currently captains the team.
Regis Le Bris operates a high-octane and physical setup, and Dele-Bashiru could be a good fit in that midfield. He is a tireless runner and can be deadly around the area.
The 24-year-old midfielder is valued at €7.5 million on Transfermarkt but Lazio will likely demand up to €10 million.
