President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja, Nigeria, after state visits to Saint Lucia and Brazil.
Naijaonpoint reports that President Tinubu returned to the country on Saturday night, as confirmed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
He was received upon arrival at the Presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja by the Minister for Budget and Economic Planning, Alh Abubakar Atiku, Alh Ibrahim Masari, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, Minister for Defence, Muhammed Bello Matawalle and the National Securty Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
The President’s return settles questions on Tinubu’s whereabouts following the conclusion of the recently held BRICS summit in Brazil and his official visit to St. Lucia.
Naijaonpoint reports that before the BRICS summit, Tinubu had embarked on an official trip to St. Lucia.
Recall that on Saturday, 28 June 2025, Tinubu commenced a two-nation visit to Saint Lucia and Brazil.
The 17th BRICS Summit ended on Monday, 7th July.
Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has stated that opposition figures are free to form alliances, as they pose no threat to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Onanuga stated that Tinubu’s achievements will speak for him in the next elections, emphasising that it will be impossible for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 2023 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, to defeat his principal.
