Princess Dr. Ruth Ifediora has donated over 200 meals to Nurses at Gbagada General Hospital in celebration of 2025 Nurses Week.
To commemorate the 2025 Nurses Week, US-based retired nurse and licensed financial professional, Princess Dr. Ruth Ifediora, donated over 200 nutritious meals to nurses at Gbagada General Hospital, Lagos.
The charitable gesture, carried out in collaboration with Comfort Foundation (a US-based nonprofit) and Comfort Education Foundation (Nigeria-based), was part of the Nurses Week celebration and scientific conference organized by the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Gbagada General Hospital Chapter. The event took place on June 5–6 at the hospital’s garden.
This year’s theme, “Our Nurses, Our Future: Economic Power of Care,” emphasized the vital role nurses play in global healthcare systems and economic development.
As part of the celebration, Princess Dr. Ruth Ifediora and her partner foundations engaged Grubsville Catering to prepare and distribute freshly packaged meals to 225 dedicated nurses serving at the facility.
Deborah Rufus, Chairperson of NANNM Gbagada Chapter and Assistant Director of Nursing Services, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the nursing staff.
Similarly, Temitayo Olotu, Director of Nursing Services at the hospital, praised the initiative:
“On behalf of my nurses, we extend our deepest thanks to Princess Dr. Ruth Ifediora, the Comfort Foundation, and the Comfort Education Foundation for this thoughtful and uplifting gesture. Your support has added a special touch to our 2025 Nurses Week.
May your foundation be richly blessed and continue to grow from glory to glory.”
This donation reflects Princess Dr. Ruth Ifediora’s enduring commitment to healthcare, philanthropy, and community empowerment across Nigeria and the United States.
