Prophet Odumeje has sparked fresh controversy with prediction of his own death.

NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reports that the General Overseer of the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, Onitsha, Prophet Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has once again sparked nationwide reactions with a startling revelation about his life and ministry.

Speaking during a recent church service, Odumeje declared that his time on earth is short and that when his journey ends, his body will never be seen.

“I am the strongest spiritual man in the world, after the general, Prophet T.B. Joshua. We are not many — just two. One has finished his assignment and returned home, now the Lion himself remains. The dead man. I don’t have much time left. Nobody will see my corpse,” he said.

He emphasized that his calling is not about longevity but about fulfilling a divine mandate. According to him, his ministry exists to clear doubts about Jesus Christ, with a central message anchored on “one God and one power — Jesus Christ.”

Odumeje, widely known for his dramatic style of preaching, bold declarations, and controversial prophecies, has built a reputation as one of Nigeria’s most unconventional pastors. His self-styled titles — “the liquid metal,” “the war,” and “the indaboski bahose” — have become popular catchphrases among his followers and on social media.

The Onitsha-based cleric’s latest statement has fueled fresh debates among both supporters and critics, further cementing his place as one of the most polarizing figures in Nigeria’s religious landscape.
