Several new games were announced on PlayStation Plus this October during the State of Play for September 2025. At least two integral games are intended to arrive on the subscription platform by October 2025, including two Game of the Year nominees that you’ll want to try while they’re free. In addition, a few new titles are coming to PS Plus’ Classics Catalog, giving you even more new titles to try.
The monthly games revealed at Sony’s State of Play are part of different packages, giving subscribers different titles available depending on the nature of their PS Plus deal. For example, one big game is on the Essential, Premium, and Extra packages of PS Plus, while another free game for the platform is only on the latter two bundles.

Both Alan Wake 2 and The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered are coming to PS Plus for free in October 2025, through an inclusion to the Monthly Games for the subscription service. Alan Wake 2 is available for free only on the Premium tier of PS Plus, so users may have to upgrade their deal from Essential or Extra to gain access to this survival horror experience.
Meanwhile, The Last of Us Part 2 comes to Premium and Extra users as well, giving players a way to experience the enhanced version of another survival horror classic. Both of these games were nominated for Game of the Year when they released, making them must-play titles for those looking for great third-person action mixed with terrifying, supernatural threats.
The Classics Catalog Also Introduces Iconic Arcade Titles For Free

Premium subscribers can gain access to two PlayStation icons from earlier consoles, but only if their region has the availability for this deal.
