The Punisher‘s new costume is destined to be his best new Marvel Rivals cosmetic, with a stripped-down aesthetic that takes Frank Castle back to basics. A duelist character, Punisher is known for his “Judge, jury, executioner!” battlecry, with cosmetics including a take on Marvel’s Punisher 2099 and his red Thunderbolts armor.
The new look comes from a variant over by Jonas Scharf, appearing on Daredevil/Punisher: The Devil’s Trigger #2. The cover comes from a new line showing Marvel heroes in winterwear, with Punisher in a sleeveless vest with a simplified versions of his skull logo and winter camo pants, wielding an axe. It’s clear Frank is hiding out while hunting a particularly elusive target.
Daredevil/Punisher: The Devil’s Trigger #2 is coming December 17 from Jimmy Palmiotti and José Luis Soares Pinto, and will see the two taking on the infamous Gnucci crime family – one of Punisher’s most relentless and grotesque enemies, first seen in 2000’s Punisher #1, and later adapted in the MCU’s The Punisher TV series.
