Kanye West recently met with Rabbi Yoshiyahu Yosef Pinto to apologize for his antisemitic statements on social media.
A video of the meeting was shared on the rabbi’s official social media channels, showing the musician expressing regret and taking responsibility for his words.
“I feel blessed to be able to sit with you today and take accountability,” Ye said during the conversation. “I was dealing with a lot of personal issues, and I appreciate you giving me the chance to make amends.”
Ye acknowledged that his mental health struggles, including bipolar disorder, played a role in his past behavior. He explained that he sometimes acted impulsively and failed to consider how his words affected others.

Rabbi Pinto responded with understanding, telling Ye that in Judaism, sincere repentance allows a person to correct past wrongs. “You are a good man,” the rabbi said, holding Ye’s hands and wishing him better days ahead.
The meeting comes as Ye continues to rebuild his public image after a period of controversy and erratic social media behavior. He and his wife, Bianca Censori, were also seen together at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards earlier this year, where they appeared on the red carpet in Los Angeles.
“This is the start,” the rabbi said. “The first step.”
