Rapper Busta Rhymes has been arrested and charged for allegedly assaulting his assistant.
According to the cops, the incident took place in Downtown Brooklyn on January 10. The rapper reportedly argued with a 50-year-old man, and reports say that Busta Rhymes punched the victim in the face. Cops say that Busta Rhymes turned himself in after the incident.
The New York Post spoke with the alleged victim, Dashiel Gables, who said he is doing okay but that his attorney advised him not to speak about the incident to the press.

“Maybe later. Maybe in the future. I can’t mess up my case, bro. It’s just not going to be worth it. An article in the paper as opposed to a six or seven-million-dollar settlement? I’m not risking it, sorry,” said Gables.
Busta Rhymes has not yet issued a public statement but will appear in front of a judge on Feb. 2.
