Rapper Kevin Gates is getting married to IG influencer and Basketball Wives star Brittany Renner, Media Take Out has learned. The couple are scheduled to have a traditional Muslim wedding in February, right before Ramadan.
Here’s what we know. According to Brittany’s close friend, she and Kevin are planning on getting married. The two have been friends for years – and over the summer, Kevin promised to marry Brittany if she would “change her ways and become a good Muslim woman.”
Brittany took Kevin up on his offer. Since September, Media Take Out confirmed that Brittany has become a practicing Muslim. She now wears a hijab, lives her life according to the Quran, and prepares only Hilal melas.
She’s also begun working with an Islamic marriage counselor named Hekmat, who is preparing her to be Kevin’s bride. She shouted out the muslim teacher above.
It’s going really well – and Kevin appears to be following up with his promise. Kevin recently released a hew song about Brittany. He explains, in the track, that he and Brittany are getting married in February. And he claims that – according to Islamic law – the two have not been intimate since reuniting earlier this year.
Kevin says that when they are together, they stay in different hotel rooms.
Kevin and Brittany have known each other for years. He and Brittany dated between 2018 and 2019. It ended, and the two separated, but remained close friends. Brittany later got pregnant for NBA star PJ Washington.
Kevin mentioned her name on Super General. He rapped, “Cold-hearted woodland hills, stuffin’ that dick in Bundle Of Brittany.” BundeOfBrittany is her IG username.
He also made the song Fly Again about her. He also mentions her on the song Cartel Swag by referencing the song Fly Again.
In his recent song, Broken Men, he mentioned her again – clearly he never got over Brittany. In that song, he rapped, “Safe decision with a hooper, not a hater I saluted. In the field for real, I ball and run with different types of shooters.”
