Ray J has reportedly been hospitalized in Las Vegas as he deals with a serious bout of pneumonia.
According to a report from TMZ, the 44-year-old artist was admitted to a local hospital late Tuesday night after experiencing chest discomfort. Doctors reportedly ordered imaging tests, including X-rays and an echocardiogram, as they worked to determine the cause of his symptoms. Test results were still pending as of Wednesday.
Ray J has not publicly commented on the reported hospitalization.
The health scare comes several years after the singer was hospitalized with pneumonia in 2021, when he initially feared he had contracted COVID-19. At the time, Ray J said he spent days in the hospital’s COVID wing before testing negative and being discharged.
“I thought it was over,” he told TMZ then. “I started praying and knew God is good.”
Sources previously said Ray J believed exhaustion from nonstop travel and work contributed to his illness and that the experience forced him to reevaluate his health. He later said he was grateful to have recovered.
