Ray J is walking back his viral remarks after confusion erupted over comments he made involving Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Days after the singer’s statements spread online, new footage shows Blueface directly asking Ray J if Diddy was “in your booty for real?” Ray J quickly shut it down.
“Nah, they mixed that up, bro,” he said. “I was talking about the homie, Lil Rod, which I apologize to Lil Rod too because I shouldn’t have been talkin’ about his a–, and it backfired on me.”
Ray J went on to admit he fabricated the story while joking. “I made that s–t up,” he added. “But shout out to the gays.”
The singer later addressed the situation more seriously during an interview on The Breakfast Club, explaining that he had been speaking while pretending to be Lil Rod, a man who had publicly accused Diddy of misconduct.

“I was in character being Lil Rod,” Ray J said. “And guess what? I shouldn’t have did that either.”
He acknowledged the fallout from the joke. “I was insensitive,” Ray J said. “And then it turned on me.” When host Loren Lorosa joked, “It turned on your a–,” Ray J agreed, adding that the clipped video created a false narrative.
“He’s a good guy,” Ray J said of Combs. “And he would never take my a– like that.”
