R&B singer Sammie has addressed the headlines after he was arrested on child abuse charges.
The artist, whose real name is Sammie Bush, was arrested on charges of battery and cruelty to children ahead of his ONE Musicfest scheduled set in Atlanta.
After posting his $1,050 bond, he was released from the Henry County jail and managed to make his performance on time.
“Happy Sunday, first and foremost. I’m a let God have his say, and the courts have their say. And the truth shall set you free,” he wrote on social media. “Love, I appreciate y’all, thank y’all for the concerns, love.”
Sammie also posted a picture with his family visiting him at his home.
Teanna Reid, the mother of his daughter, hopped onto her “finsta” account and denied allegations that she is trying to destroy his career.
Reid shared videos and photos as evidence of alleged abuse, as well as evidence of visible bruises on her body.
“I choose me. End of story,” she captioned ... which was shared via her official Instagram account.
