Real Betis sign creative midfielder, Chinyere Kalu from Nigeria

Real Betis Balompié Féminas has announced the signing of Chinyere Kalu from Nasarawa Amazons Football Club of Lafia, Nasarawa State. Via its website on Thursday, the Spanish club noted that the Nigerian midfielder will join the team till 2026.

On her part, Kalu said she was excited to join the club and ready to give her best to achieve success.

“I am so excited. I am happy. I am very much excited to be here in Real Betis. I’ve had the chance to speak with my team mates and my coach. They are so friendly to me. They welcomed me well and I am very happy about that.

“I am a creative midfielder and I am here to support the team; to give my best and to make sure we get there,” Kalu said.

The 19-year old has a background in Nigerian clubs, playing for Martins White Dove FC, Osun Babes FC, Rivers Angels FC, and Nasarawa Amazons FC.

The player has also represented Nigeria at the international level, featuring in the under-17 and under-20 teams, including the 2022 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup.
