WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The RedMagic 10 Pro series has just been announced, and it has plenty to offer. The RedMagic 10 Pro and RedMagic 10 Pro+ have been announced as part of this family. Both of these are gaming smartphones, of course, and there’s plenty to talk about here. Before we do, however, do note that the two phones have launched in China, but a global launch will follow. These two phones look exactly the same. In fact, based on what the company shared, they’re exactly the same in all but two ways, their battery packs and charging speed. We’ll talk about that in a second, let’s first talk about the design here. The RedMagic 10 Pro series phones are flat from all sides. They have a flat display, flat back, and a flat frame. The corners are, at least, not completely sharp, they’re slightly rounded. The bezels around the display are immensely thin, we’ll talk about that soon. They’re also uniform. On the back, you’ll see three cameras which are vertically aligned in the top-left corner. The power/lock button sits on the right side along with volume rocker keys, and a red switch for manually activating boost mode for gaming. There is also an internal fan included here. It’s called the ‘Hot Wheels’ high-speed centrifugal fan. Speaking of gaming and advanced features, this phone uses composite liquid metal cooling, it’s the first phone to do that. It offers a thermal conductivity of 80W/mk, which is 13 times higher than thermal conductive gel. The 3D ice-step VC area is increased by 18% to 12,000m². On top of that, the superconducting copper foil is 5,200mm², and the thickness of the graphene under the screen is also increased, by 30%. RedMagic also included 520Hz gaming shoulder keys, an 0815 x-axis linear motor, and 1115 stereo speakers here. Yes, there is also a headphone jack placed on the top, if you need it. Both of these smartphones have a 6.85-inch 2688 x 1216 flat OLED display. It’s a display from BOE, the Q9+ panel. A 144Hz refresh rate is also included, and a high 960Hz touch sampling rate for gaming. This display supports 10-bit color depth and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. It has a peak brightness of 2,000 nits. 2,592Hz PWM dimming is also included. Screen-to-body ratio here is 95.3%, by the way. The Snapdragon 8 Elite fuels this smartphone, while 12GB, 16GB, and 24GB LPDDR5X RAM models have been announced. 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB UFS 4.0 storage options are on offer. Android 15 comes pre-installed here, with RedMagic AI OS 10.0. There are two SIM card slots on offer (nano SIM), and three microphones too. An in-display fingerprint scanner is also a part of the package, and the same goes for an IR blaster. Bluetooth 5.4 is also on offer, as is 5G connectivity and Wi-Fi 7. A 50-megapixel main camera (1/1.5-inch sensor, OmniVision OV50E40, f/1.88 aperture, OIS) sits on the back, backed by a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera (OmniVision OV50D sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 120-degree FoV), and a 2-megapixel macro shooter (OmniVision OV02F10 sensor). A 16-megapixel camera from OmniVision (OV50D) is located on the front, under the display. The RedMagic 10 Pro includes a 7,050mAh battery and supports 120W fast wired charging. The ‘Plus’ model comes with a 6,500mAh battery and supports 80W wired charging. The RedMagic 10 Pro smartphones measure 163.42 x 76.14 x 8.9mm, while they both weigh 229 grams. The RedMagic 10 Pro comes in Dark Knight, Day Warrior, Deuterium Front Transparent Dark Night, and SIlver Wing models. Two of them are see-through. THe pricing starts at CNY4,999 ($692), and goes up to CNY5,799 ($803). The RedMagic 10 Pro+ comes in those exact color options too, while its pricing starts at CNY5,999 ($830).
