Nollywood actress Regina Daniels sparked alarm after a video showing her in visible distress went viral on social media on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
In the clip, she appears to suggest she has experienced physical abuse.
In the footage — widely shared on X and other platforms — Regina, surrounded by several people amid a tense commotion, can be heard shouting: “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.” The clip also shows men who appear ready to intervene, with one holding a stick, suggesting a heated confrontation.
Those around her tried to calm her, but the immediate cause of the clash remains unclear. Nevertheless, the video has provoked intense online speculation about the state of her marriage, with many netizens saying the footage points to serious trouble.
Regina’s marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko has long been a subject of public interest because of their large age gap — Regina was 19 and Nwoko 59 when they wed — and the senator’s polygamous lifestyle; Nwoko has six wives, with Regina the youngest.
The viral clip followed a lighter post by Regina after her birthday on October 10, in which she joked about a lost ring and how her husband eventually bought a new one: “At first, he was hell-bent on not getting a new one because he thought it was one of my mischiefs. To cut the story short, he finally bought a new one, which is better than the old one!” That earlier post now sits uneasily beside the distress captured in the viral footage.
Confirming the unrest, Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman (Sammy West), posted angrily on Instagram, threatening to defend his sister and accusing the senator of assault: “Makachi, e pain me say una wan finally laugh my sister. Let me repeat anywhere wey man dey beat woman, whether na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood. Senator Ned Nwoko, you get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall, you wan comot send thugs! I swear I for burst all your jaw.”
