Destiny Daniels, the younger sister of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has shut down rumours of reconciliation between her and her husband, Ned Nwoko.
Kemi Filani reported last week that Regina had cried out over the alleged domestic violence she was experiencing in her marriage. In a viral video, the actress was seen in the midst of men as her brother defended her against thugs her husband allegedly sent to her.
Ned, in a public statement, had attributed the tension to what he described as her “battle with drugs and alcohol abuse.” According to Nwoko, his efforts to help his wife seek professional treatment are always resisted. The senator further alleged that Regina had engaged in violent behaviour at home, claiming she assaulted three domestic staff and destroyed property.
Reports online claimed that the movie star had reconciled with her politician husband, and she is back at his home.
A day ago, a video surfaced of the actress, her siblings, and friends boarding a private jet, which further fueled rumours that the couple had reconciled.
Debunking the claims, Destiny, via her Instagram story, questioned why people love to assume things on social media. She said that because of the private jet, she and her family should forget the pain and plenty of scars like that.
Destiny expressed how happy she is that booking a private jet isn’t costly. She made it known that Regina paid for the jet.
“Why una like to dey assume things for this socio-media like this? So because of PJ, we go forget pain and plenty of scars just like that? Thank God sey plane no cost to book. Na just $10k and na my sister, my idolo, pay for am! Clock it”.
Regina Daniels’ elder brother, Sweezzy, had dismissed Ned’s report of drug abuse as he noted how there is no perfect couple.
Similarly, another of her brothers, Sammy West, who was seen in the viral clip protecting her, called out Ned for assaulting her. He noted how people on the internet would mock his sister, however, he isn’t one who condones the beating of women.
Ned Nwoko’s brother, Dr Michael Nwoko, called for privacy, as he pleaded with their fans and the public to remain calm and continue to show understanding, as their issue is a family matter. He assured the public that it would be resolved privately.
Her mother, Rita Daniels had shared a video of herself and her son dancing. The video didn’t sit well with many netizens, who took to her comment section to drag her.
Regina made her return to social media to repost a video of herself on a private jet from one of her friends’ page. In the video, the mother of two was captured hopping on a private jet with her brother, Sammy West and friends.
