Accompanied by Hajia Nana Shettima, the Vice President’s wife, and Hajia Ribadu, the wife of the National Security Adviser, she was welcomed by Oghogho Musa, the wife of the Chief of Defence Staff, who also joined in praying for the family. This was announced in a statement today by the first lady’s media aide, Busola Kukoyi. While comforting Mariya Abiodun Lagbaja and her children, Senator Tinubu emphasized that only the Lord can determine the moment of one’s death. She encouraged the family to find solace in the positive impact and legacies he left behind and urged the children to stay focused and pursue the values their father embodied. Lt General Taoreed Lagbaja passed away at the age of 56 following a period of illness.
