Everton lost their first game of the season in disappointing fashion, and they want to get reinforcements to give them a boost…
English Premier League Everton are planning to offer Getafe €30 million for Super Eagles midfielder Christantus Uche, Soccernet.ng reports.
Uche has been attracting a lot of attention from many clubs across the top five European leagues. This comes after a string of impressive performances at Getafe.
The 22-year-old midfielder joined the club from third-tier Ceuta last summer, and he quickly rose to become Getafe’s best player, contributing four goals and six assists in 33 league games.
This season, he has picked up from where he finished off last season. He was the hero in their LaLiga opener against Celta Vigo last weekend, as he contributed a goal and an assist to lead Getafe to a 2-0 win.
Uche’s performances has turned heads, majorly from the English Premier League. Recall that earlier, Soccernet.ng reported that Leeds United and Brentford were preparing an offer.
In a new development, another Premier League club has joined the mix. One Football reports that Everton are readying a €30 million offer for Getafe to sign Uche.

Can Everton Steal Christantus Uche From Getafe?
Christantus Uche’s value has skyrocketed in the past year. Just a year ago, he was valued at just over €500,000. But he is now valued at €15 million on Transfermarkt.
However, Uche has a €25 million release clause. This is quite understandable, as Getafe would not have expected that Uche would be this good within a year.

Everton’s €30 million offer would be really tempting for Getafe, as it is significantly higher than Uche’s release clause.
Also, the club need money in the bank to register players due to LaLiga’s stringent financial rules. Selling Uche would definitely put them in a good position financially, albeit there is no player at Getafe, who can offer what the Nigerian offers on the pitch.
With the transfer window open for just about ten days, the transfer could drag well into the close of the window.
Uche got his Super Eagles debut earlier in May at the Unity Cup. He has two appearances for Nigeria.
