The meeting comes as the House exercises its constitutional authority to assume the functions of the Rivers State House of Assembly. During the session, Ibas apologized for missing previous invitations and requested additional time to adequately prepare his briefing for the committee. He explained that he is still transitioning into his new role and asked for the committee’s understanding.
