The House of Representatives Committee on Sports has lauded the Chairman, National Sports Commission (NSC), Mr Shehu Dikko for his unwavering commitment to sports development in the country.
The Chairman of the committee, Rep. Kabiru Amadu (PDP-Zamfara), gave the commendation in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
Amodu described Dikko, who recently turned 55, as a transparent and bold reformer with admirable leadership style and dedication to the advancement of sports in Nigeria.
According to him, there is no doubt that the country will, in the coming years, begin to reap the benefits of his visionary leadership at the NSC.
“Dikko has devoted much of his life to repositioning the sports and has made significant contributions in the sector.
“His honest and transparent leadership style and sustained commitment to overcoming obstacles for the growth of sports is laudable.
“On behalf of the House Committee on Sports, I congratulate Dikko on the occasion of his 55th birthday.
