It is suspected that the soldier sustained serious injuries but no reports of fatality yet. We also gathered that there is massive re-enforcement from the Military.t Due to the fear of retaliation the natives are fleeing Okporowo community in Igbu Orlukwor clan, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State for fear of reprisal attack by military personnel Sources informed our reporter that suspected Greenland cult members led by one of their leaders(namewitheld) said to be on watchlist of security agencies in the State attacked and opened fire on the Military personnel guarding the crude oil pipeline at about 11am on Monday 10th February 2025. The source disclosed that one of the military personnel is suspected to have sustained life threatening injury but their was no fatality as the military operatives responded and returned rapid fire which made the cultists to run in disarray. Following the development, residents and natives of the area started fleeing the community on Monday for fear of reprisals by the military who are combing nook and crannies of the area in search of the hoodlums. When our reporter contacted Mr Oyagiri Chime-emele, Head, Information & Documentation, Igbu Orlukwor Palace, he said the Palace will issue a statement on the incident later in the day.
