Residents of Tor-Donga, a community in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State have been forced to flee from their homes following a fresh attack by some gunmen.
It was gathered that the gunmen invaded the community in the early hours of Friday, August 1.
Some of the residents who spoke on the incident said the attackers were heavily armed to the teeth.
They said that the gunmen shot sporadically in the air forcing residents to scamper for their safety in nearby bushes.
While several residents are said to be missing after the attack, the eyewitnesses said many others sustained various degrees of injuries.
“People were running in all directions. We abandoned our homes and properties; everyone just wanted to stay alive,” a resident said narrating the ordeal.
He also noted that the attackers invaded the community on their motorcycles and was shooting at the residents.
