Brandi Glanville says she is finally getting clarity after years of unexplained health problems.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star told TMZ she received an official diagnosis on Thursday, a moment she described as emotional for her family. “Her mother started bawling,” the outlet reported, after learning doctors had identified the source of Brandi’s long-running medical issues.
Brandi said the experience changed her personality and left her battling fear and isolation and that the condition forced her to isolate herself.
She previously revealed she had connected with infectious disease specialist Dr. Michael Scoma in hopes of getting answers.
“He specializes in super hard to treat things where people can’t get a diagnosis,” she said. Her initial treatment included IV antibiotics and antifungal medication through a PICC line.
Brandi described symptoms that spread beyond her face to her neck, shoulder, collarbone and arm. She said she spent two years being told nothing was wrong. “I have lumps on my face and they’re moving around,” she said, calling the ordeal frightening and exhausting.
