WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The Rivers State Commissioner of Police CP Olugbenga Adepoju, has visited scene of the tragic accident where an experterate and driver were feared dead following a kidnapped attack. Cp Adepoju at the scene commended Eleme Local Government Chairman Chief Brain Gokpa, for his prompt response to the incident at Aleto Bridge.
CP Adepoju visited the scene and was taken on a tour by Chief Gokpa, after which he expressed gratitude for the chairman’s swift mobilization of security forces and rescue teams. Chief Gokpa pledged his commitment to ensuring the security of lives and property in the area and promised to empower more personnel to aid in the rescue efforts and apprehend those responsible for the attack
Reports indicate that a convoy was attacked by hoodlums on Monday night, resulting in a car carrying an expatriate falling into the river. Survivors suggest that the car and expatriate may still be in the river. Professional divers and marine police are currently at the scene still searching for the victims
