This development follows the Supreme Court’s recent ruling barring the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from disbursing federal allocations to the state. Additionally, the court nullified the recently conducted local government elections in Rivers State. Despite the political tensions surrounding the verdict, Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s administration remains committed to its development agenda. The commissioning, set to begin on Monday, March 3, 2025, will feature the unveiling of critical infrastructure across various sectors, including housing, fire service, security, healthcare, education, and judiciary welfare. According to the Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Joe Johnson, these projects align with the administration’s dedication to sustainable development and improved public service delivery.
