‎The Enforcers of Good Governance (EGG), a Rivers socio-political pressure group, says it has organised a novelty football match in honour of President Bola Tinubu.

‎The group’s convener, Dr Ogu Kingsley, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday in Abuja that the event took place in Ogbogu, Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers.

‎He said the match featured the Enforcers football team against a Rivers celebrities’ side and was held as a tribute to President Tinubu for policies aimed at building a more prosperous Nigeria.

‎Kingsley also lauded the President’s support for sports development nationwide.

‎He noted that the novelty match formed part of the group’s grassroots mobilisation efforts to engage communities and rally support for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

‎He said the Enforcers team defeated the celebrities’ side 6–1 in a thrilling game that delighted spectators.

‎According to him, the event blended sportsmanship with political advocacy, attracting sports enthusiasts and supporters of the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda. (NAN)
