WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The groundwork for a fresh Local Government elections in River State has commenced as the state electoral commission has announced invited stakeholders to a meeting on Wednesday. The public notice, signed by the chairman of RSIEC, Justice Adolphus Enebeli, invited religious leaders, political parties, media, traditional rulers and opinion leader to a robust stakeholder engagement for the preparation of council polls. The statement reads: “NOTICE OF GENERAL STAKEHOLDERS MEETING “The Chairman of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, Hon. Justice Adolphus Enebeli, DSSRS, (Rtd) hereby invites:Leaders of all registered Political Parties; Traditional Rulers; Security Agencies; Religious Organizations; The Media; Professional Organizations; Civil Society Groups; Non-Governmental Organizations; Community Based Groups and the Electorate to a general stakeholders meeting on Wednesday, 5th March, 2025 at the RSIEC Headquarters, 239-243 Aba Road, Port Harcourt by 02.00pm prompt. “The highlight of the meeting will be the unveiling of the time-table and guidelines for the 2025 Local Government Elections in the State. “All concerned should be seated at the RSIEC Auditorium by 02:00pm, please.”
