WATCH THE VIDEO HERE THE Rivers State House of Assembly, under the leadership of Victor Oko-Jumbo, has screened and confirmed Lawrence Oko-Jaja, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, as the Chairman of the Board of the Rivers State Bureau on Public Procurement (RSBPP). Alongside him, the House also confirmed seven other members: Dr Ernest Ibekwe Ekwe, Dr Mina Ogbanga, Engr. Iseleye Amachree, Engr. Adokiye Oyagiri, Engr. Gift Alex-Hart, Grace Osaronu, and Barrister Selinah Amonieah. These confirmations followed the screening process where the nominees were evaluated based on their ability to contribute to state development, particularly in the area of government policy implementation. Barrister Oko-Jaja committed to ensuring that the board would focus on achieving value for money in all state government contracts. The Speaker of the House urged the nominees to uphold their trust and loyalty to the state government and emphasized the importance of quality performance, probity, and accountability in their roles.
