WATCH THE VIDEO HERE THE State House of Assembly led by Victor Oko-Jumbo has screened and confirmed private Emmanuel Frank-Fubara as a Commissioner in Rivers State. The confirmation during plenary on Monday followed a request from Governor Siminalayi Fubara. The House also considered for the second time, the bills for the creation of a State Emergency Management Agency and the reform of the transport sector. It is the second time since the Appeal Court’s decision on the House of Assembly crisis in Rivers State, the Victor Oko-Jumbo-led lawmakers are convened for plenary. Speaker Oko-Jumbo initiated the day’s proceedings by reading a correspondence from Governor Siminalayi Fubara, requesting the screening of a commissioner nominee. The nominee, Emmanuel Frank-Fubara, a legal practitioner with 26 years of experience, was introduced into the chambers following the suspension of the House Rules. Responding to questions, Frank-Fubara, from Abonnema in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, promised to leverage his experience for the development development of the state. His nomination was confirmed unanimously by voice vote.
