Robert Pattinson & Zendaya's The Odyssey Roles Confirmed In First Look

More characters are finally being revealed for Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey as the film gets closer to its big 2026 release. While Homer’s Odyssey has been explored through TV and film in the past, Hollywood will witness it through Nolan’s filmmaking, with his adaptation set to be one of the biggest films next summer.

As Nolan has brought together another star-packed cast, Empire has finally revealed who Robert Pattinson and Zendaya are playing in the highly anticipated 2026 entry. As the outlet shared new images from the film, Pattinson is confirmed to play Antinous, while Zendaya is set to portray Athena. The magazine has also unveiled another image, confirming that John Leguizamo, who has also been tapped for The Odyssey cast, as Eumaeus. Check out the images below:

The Odyssey won’t be the only film that Pattinson and Zendaya star in 2026, as the two will also be seen in A24’s The Drama, slated to arrive on April 3. In addition, both will be starring in Dune: Part Three, where Zendaya will reprise Chani while Pattinson will be a new addition. That means the audience will get to see them thrice on the big screen next year, while Holland and Jon Bernthal, who is also in The Odyssey, finally cross paths in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

It was previously revealed that Anne Hathaway and Mia Goth have been tapped as Odysseus’ wife, Penelope, and Melantho, respectively. Matt Damon will be headlining the film as Odysseus, while Holland portrays his son, Telemachus. The Universal Pictures film, however, still has many more actors whose characters have not been disclosed yet.

Nolan, who also wrote the screenplay, has Elliot Page, Lupita Nyong’o, Rafi Gavron, Samantha Morton, Nick E. Tarabay, Bill Irwin, Josh Stewart, Logan Marshall-Green, Iddo Goldberg, and Jovan Adepo part of the cast, too. Charlize Theron will reportedly playing Circe, with more Greek Gods in The Odyssey bound to show up.

Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is scheduled to open in theaters on July 17, 2026.
