Details of the Incident
According to Corriere dello Veneto, five armed intruders broke into Baggio’s home during the match. Baggio, 57, and his family were subdued and locked in a room while the house was ransacked. Baggio sustained a head injury when he tried to resist.
The criminals stole money, personal items, watches, and other valuables. After the intruders left, Baggio managed to break down the door and call the Carabinieri.
He was taken to a hospital in Arzignano, where he received stitches for his head wound. The police are investigating, using CCTV footage from Baggio’s home.
