Nigerian media personality, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, better known as Do2tun, has slammed billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote, over the death of Ruth Otabor, the sister of reality TV star, Phyna.

Naijaonpoint reports that Ruth died on Sunday, 31 August 2025, barely three weeks after being involved in a tragic accident with a Dangote truck driver in Auchi, Edo State.

The Dangote Group, in a statement issued on Sunday, extended condolences to the deceased’s family and pledged to strengthen its safety systems.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ruth Otabor, who was injured in the recent road incident involving one of our trucks in Auchi, Edo State. On behalf of the entire Dangote Group, we extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones at this difficult time,” the statement read.

The company noted that since the accident, its officials and insurance partners had taken responsibility for all medical and financial expenses while providing support to Ruth’s family.

It disclosed that arrangements had been concluded to fly her to India for advanced treatment, pending medical clearance from doctors.

However, in a post via 𝕏 on Sunday, Do2dtun berated Dangote for not showing empathy or visiting the deceased in the hospital.

He said, “It’s either Dangote lacks emotional intelligence or everyone that surrounds him are useless. The moment this thing got this bad, show up, show empathy; start fixing the problem even if it is “eye service”, just do it
