Samsung working on key tech for even more advanced Galaxy AI

Samsung was one of the pioneers in implementing advanced AI-powered features in mobile devices. The company’s Galaxy AI suite is increasingly receiving more features through new One UI updates. However, the South Korean giant will step forward to make its AI experiences even better. Samsung has announced the development of knowledge graph tech for Galaxy AI advanced features.

Knowledge graph technology is not exactly new in the artificial intelligence segment. However, as far as we know, no company has implemented it on mobile devices. Traditional AI model data processing is based on vectors. On the other hand, knowledge graph technology is capable of processing complex graph data structures. This basically translates into greater information handling capacity and, therefore, “AI learning.”

The technology excels in easily determining the context of data sets. In theory, this reduces processing time while offering an even more reliable output. The capabilities of knowledge graph-based AI make it especially useful for complex data analysis. That’s why research sectors such as biology, medicine, and chemistry have been using it for years.

Samsung confirms hybrid AI approach; Knox Matrix coming to home appliances

The company did not offer more specific details about their boosted AI or when it will arrive. On the other hand, Samsung confirmed that it implements a hybrid AI approach on all its devices. This means that it uses both the cloud and on-device processing to offer AI experiences. The news is not new, as we have known for some time that there are Galaxy AI features that use the cloud. However, the company claims that it maintains on-device processing when maximum data privacy is required.

Lastly, Samsung announced that it will bring its Knox Matrix security system to its home appliances as well. Currently, Knox Matrix is available on smartphones, tablets, and TVs. While some may question the usefulness of such a security system on these types of devices, there are smart appliances that you can log into with personal credentials. So, the brand wants to ensure that your data is safe from any platform you use.
